Cyber Security in Newcastle & the Hunter

Layered protection for your people, your data and your reputation.

Enterprise-grade cybersecurity built on defence in depth — no single control is a silver bullet, so we layer email protection, web and DNS filtering, penetration testing, managed detection and security awareness training so that if one layer is bypassed, the next one holds. Built for Australian businesses that can't afford a breach.

01 — Scope

What's included

  • Email security

Advanced threat protection, business email compromise detection and SPF/DKIM/DMARC configuration. Email is the number one attack vector — we close that door.

  • Web & DNS filtering

A preventive layer that blocks malicious, phishing and newly-registered domains at the DNS level — before a connection is ever made. It stops drive-by malware and risky downloads, severs command-and-control callbacks if a device is compromised, and enforces acceptable use — on your network and for staff working remotely.

  • Security awareness training

Realistic phishing simulations and role-based training that turn your team from a vulnerability into a last line of defence.

  • Penetration testing

Independent assessment of your network, applications and endpoints — we find the gaps before attackers do.

  • Managed detection and response

24/7 threat monitoring with expert-led investigation and response. Threats are contained fast, not just logged.

  • Vulnerability management

Continuous scanning, prioritised remediation and clear reporting — so your risk posture keeps improving, not just getting audited.

  • Compliance support

Practical guidance on Essential Eight, ISO 27001 and industry-specific frameworks. Compliance that actually reduces risk.

03 — Questions

Frequently asked questions

01What is the Essential Eight and do we need to comply?

The Essential Eight is the Australian Cyber Security Centre's baseline mitigation strategy. While mandatory for Commonwealth entities, it's the benchmark most insurers and enterprise clients expect. We help you assess and implement at the maturity level right for your organisation.

02How often should we run penetration tests?

At minimum annually, and after significant infrastructure changes. We recommend quarterly vulnerability scans between formal pen tests.

03Can you help us after a breach?

Yes — we provide incident response support including containment, forensic investigation, stakeholder communication and post-incident hardening.

04Isn't email security enough — why do we also need web and DNS filtering?

Because attackers don't stop at the inbox. Defence in depth means layering controls so a single failure isn't fatal. Email security screens messages, but a staff member can still click a link in a text message, an ad or a compromised site. Web and DNS filtering is the next layer — it blocks the malicious destination itself at the DNS level, stops malware downloads, and cuts off an infected device's callback to the attacker. Each layer covers the others' blind spots.
